Easter approaches

Again this term, the weather has been rather challenging!

We have not been deterred however from working hard to build, make and maintain things for the garden in the workshop...

Making a bracket to hold the hanging rail for our boiler suits in the shed

S1 pupils painting wooden plant signs for the garden...

The S3 class used a vinyl cutter to print out the names and stuck them onto prepared perspex strips...

...the resulting signs will be very long lasting! :)

S3 and S4 pupils have been looking at creatures that are both good and bad news for our plants and soil!

They have made lots of signs ready to put up around the garden to inform visitors in future.

Also, the tools have been brushed...

...washed...

...sharpened...

...and oiled to stop them rusting.  They are now ready to use in spring as the weather improves.
Seed trays have also been washed thoroughly

Meanwhile, we have been potting up bulbs in the workshop...

...crocus, snowdrops, daffodils and tulips.

The EAGer bunch continue to meet on Friday lunchtimes and have tidied and weeded the polytunnel.

They have re-planted some hanging baskets for staff - with crocus bulbs and winter pansies.
More recently we have also ventured outside to start preparing the beds for spring planting.

Always lots to tidy after the winter storms!
