Huge Thanks to Aubin Group and folks at the County Depot

Last Thursday Jim and Michal from the Ellon branch of Aubin Group delivered a shiny new 1000L tank for us to use as a water butt.  This will help with watering at the far end of the garden where we are starting to establish more plants.  They have kindly donated it having liked the sound of the garden we are building here...thank you Jim and Michal!

The day before, we were also donated a large quantity of wood chips from the County Roads Department Depot to use as a mulch on the raised beds.  This will keep down weeds and help retain moisture in the soil.  So thank you to Willie and everyone there!  They have also pledged a couple of benches for us to restore - we will be rescuing them from the rubbish tip! :)
In other news, Euan filled the nettle tube to start making liquid plant feed
Michael got cracking with the watering and mulching
and our volunteer Liz forged ahead with linking the patio to the entrance path.  This meant a lot more paving; back-breaking work so a big thank you to her too! :)
